Koh Pha-ngan was discovered by backpackers a mere twentyfive years ago, Koh Phangan was before inhabited already about two thousand years ago by sea gypsies driving with their boats from the area today called malaysia. Phangan was then later swarmed by Chinese migrants most of them coming from the province Hainan fleeing the economic hardship in their country. Kho Phangan used to be the backpackers heaven, currently a 'broader range' of people arrives here.One thing most of them have in common is they want to find a laid back and easy going place.
Seeking adventure to the close by Ang Thong National Park consisting of over 38 islands endowed with pristine beaches, caves and the tranquil Tha Laem Nai a salty water blue laguna lake shown in the book The Beach by Alex Garland. It appears that whatsoever it is you are searching for, in that respect is something at this place for everyone.
Kho Phangan consists of a natural paradise full of coconut palms and green turquoise waters. Surrounded by crystal clear waters, island is only a destination for Party on resort on the northern side of Phangan. There are loads of ways to see the island, you can hire one of the local cab for a little amount of Baht,or you are able to drive you can rent a moped or bicycle and drive around in your own time frame. |
